How will your business benefit from Rocketseed Cloud?

Enhanced Performance, Reliability and Security

  • Modern Cloud Architecture: Using the latest Cloud technology, Rocketseed Cloud ensures increased performance and exceptional user reliability.
  • Enhanced Server Speed and Efficiency: With our new servers, you will experience faster email processing, higher server speed, and 99.9% uptime, improving efficiency.
  • Built-in Redundancy: Leveraging Azure’s infrastructure provides inherent redundancy, crucial for dedicated implementations and enhancing data protection, including adherence to ISO:27000.
  • Server Location: Due to the variety of available locations, your server will be based in your locality, meaning, for example, European servers that are GDPR compliant for European Customers and US-based servers for our US customers.
  • Security: Faster security updates and adherence to relevant local compliance standards mean Cloud servers are very secure.

Scalability and Flexibility for Future Growth

  • Futureproof Infrastructure: Designed for scalability, the architecture easily adjusts to demand, supporting infinite scaling of mail flow without any intervention, meaning if 500 senders all send huge attachments simultaneously, there will be no slowdown of services and continued instant delivery.
  • Scaling and Flexibility: The micro-services architecture allows scaling individual server components based on specific needs or use cases, ensuring optimal resource use without compromising performance, for example, removing redundancy from the mail delivery server component at times of heavy load.
  • Ease of future integrations due to cloud service architecture and availability of key connected services as part of Azure’s feature set.

Agility and Enhanced User Experience

  • Flexibility in Development and Deployment: Independent development and deployment of services enable us to deploy updates quicker and without additional effects on the service.
  • Optimization for Smooth Experience: With PostgreSQL and Azure, the platform is fully optimized for a seamless user experience. For example, Active Directory Sync will be completed faster, and reports will load rapidly.

Robustness and Improved Maintainability

  • Fault Isolation: The micro-services architecture ensures that issues in one area do not impact the wider system, thus maintaining operational continuity.
  • Improved Testing and Maintenance: Isolated testing and focused maintenance of micro-services simplify updates and enhancements, reducing the risk of any system-wide downtime.

Rocketseed Cloud: FAQ’s

Which customers will transition first?

Application Service Provider (ASP) customers will be the first to transition, with dedicated customers moving in Phase 2.

What company are you using to host the servers?

The first iteration is on Azure. This will come with built-in redundancy, one of the benefits of Cloud servers, especially for customers with a dedicated implementation.

Will there be any downtime during the transition process?

No, the process is expected to be seamless, with no downtime.

What changes need to be made to our systems?

Changes to CNAMEs, routing, and A records will be necessary before the switchover, but this will guarantee zero downtime as the new Rocketseed Cloud server will be set up and tested before any move is made from your current server.

Can we update our settings before the switch?

Customers can update their settings before the switch without removing existing records. Our support team will contact your IT department to ensure these updates are made before the switchover occurs.

Will a new DKIM key be required and what will happen to SPF records?

A new DKIM key may be required, while SPF records will remain unchanged.

Will SMTP users be affected?

Yes, SMTP users will be affected as they must update their SMTP details to point to the new server. The technical team will be available to assist if needed.

How can we check if the new server is working as it should before making the change?

It is recommended to route one user through the new server as part of due diligence to ensure everything works as it should.

Are there plans for 'host your own' dedicated implementations?

Yes, we are working on ‘host your own’ dedicated implementations on customer cloud servers.

Can large, dedicated servers transition to the Cloud?

Large, dedicated servers will be transitioned to the Cloud in Phase 2. Since Azure Cloud has built-in redundancy, a dedicated failover server will no longer be needed for redundancy purposes.

Will we be able to have a dedicated Cloud instance in our environment?

Yes, this kind of architecture is planned for Phase 3 of the project.

Can we host our dedicated Cloud instance in AWS or Google Cloud?

Yes. We focus on Azure for Phase 1, however, AWS and Google Cloud are scheduled for Phases 2 and 3.

How will the transition affect our reporting?

Reporting for previous years will be split. Post-switchover, new reports will be on the Cloud server. Reports from the current server must be downloaded and backed up, as they won’t be transferred.

Your smooth, stress-free transition to Rocketseed Cloud awaits.
