Black Economic Empowerment (BEE)
Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE or BEE) is a transformative initiative, with the fundamental objective to advance economic transformation and enhance the economic participation of black people in the South African economy.
BEE aims to reduce the gap between the wealthy and the poor, so that all the people of South Africa will benefit from such transformation with a new set of shared values and increased socio-economic and political stability.
The Minister of Trade and Industry issues Codes of Good Practice and publishes Transformation Charters, paving the way for the establishment of the B-BBEE Advisory Council. These Codes of Good Practice enable the monitoring and evaluation of B-BBEE in the entire economy.
Certificates of Procurement Recognition levels are issued by Verification Agencies and are valid for a period of twelve months. Alternatively, if companies are exempt by meeting the necessary criteria, an affidavit can be issued.
Rocketseed has been operating in South Africa for over two decades, supporting BEE endeavors through financial, business and recruitment activities, and additionally prides itself on embracing diversity from all walks of life and building a heterogenous, positive environment where no one is discriminated against on the grounds of age, race, gender, political or religious views. We thrive on the contributions from all members of our teams to create a cohesive and inclusive environment which typifies the culture of Rocketseed across all geographies.
Rocketseed SA holds a Level 4 B-BBEE supplier classification. This means that our South African clients can claim full recognition for 100% of their procurement expenditure when choosing Rocketseed as their supplier.
